Weather watch…

bbc weather

You can see the shift in the weather already so from now on expect it to veer to the north a bit more. Judging by last weekend, its still got a bit of strength left in it although the direction will swing from the NE in the mornings to North at midday and then back again.

On Wednesday we had our first rain for months! Good for the lawn but not a terribly good sign otherwise. It indicates change but it’s not over yet, don’t worry.

What it will mean is that we’ll all have to learn how to “shift gears” better – the other day it oscillated from 20 knots – 5 and then up again. It did this over the course of the day with about an hour in between oscillations. It makes for a different type of challenge that’s for sure.

We’ll take another look at it tomorrow but with no events on this weekend… we can all take a breather. Nope, we dragging the 20 out for a blast! KOOL.

About prosailing

In Southeast Asia a long time and all the while, sailing cats. But the cat love-affair began when I finished building my first catamaran at age 15... "never again". After building 2 more Formula 16 cats in Malaysia it's really 'never again'. Now we have a large fleet of high-tech speed machines including the Nacra 20 Carbon. Then we decided to spread our wings a little more and imported the Corsair Dash 750. Now we are well on the way to establishing a Coastal One Design Dash Class. As a test bed, we had 4 Dashes take part in the Neptune Regatta and now the plans are rolling out.
